If you can start a WhatsApp group, you can run a Safari Supper. The fiddly part — working out who visits whom — is exactly what the app does for you.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes. Name your event, pick a date, and share the link — the plan builds itself from the replies.
Does it have to be three courses?
No — three is just the classic: starter, main and dessert, a different house for each. It's your evening, so add a course (a fish course, a cheese round) or run just two. Welcome drinks to start and a nightcap to finish are optional too — switch them on or off to match your street's tradition.
What should we cook?
The trick is make-ahead food you can leave while guests come and go — a cold or room-temperature starter, an oven main that looks after itself, a dessert made the day before. We've gathered easy ideas the kids can help with.
